University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bucharest

The Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy is located in Romania’s capital city of Bucharest, having a history that can be traced back to the second half of the nineteenth century. It is a well-known fact that on a national level the university itself is considered to be one of the most well acclaimed higher education institutions of its kind. The Romanian Ministry of Education deemed the Carol Davila University as an advanced research and education institution, meaning that it ensures an academic setting of high standards. Today, there are about 5000 future doctors enrolled in its educational programs out of which a considerable number of students are of foreign origin. The university has permanently invested its resources in enhancing the teaching, learning and research capabilities of its academic setting and in this respect, it has been implementing and maintaining a quality management system which fully fulfills the exigencies of ISO 9001: in medical and pharmaceutical higher education and medical research.
